Lisboa International Triathlon

The Lisboa Triathlon is a unique event in the Half Distance Triathlons.
With a race Venue located in the heart of Lisboa and the Lisboa International Airport just 3 Kilometers away, it is a race with very easy access from all major airport’s.
Parque das Nações is the race Venue, the newest part of town with tons of Hotels, shops, major mall, restaurants, night clubs, casino and public transportation to anywhere in the country and the City.

All you need when you come to race in Lisboa is your registration and your hotel confirmed!

In addition the event takes place early in the season, actually, one of the first events of the year. Despite the early date, Lisboa is able to offer participants great weather conditions; we average 26º Celsius on race day and only had a rain day in six editions. The water temperature is usually between 18º and 21º Celsius.

The swim is in a unique artificial lake, Doca dos Olivais and is done in two laps of 950 meters each. The swim Venue has the particularity of providing the public with the opportunity to walk around the whole course and follow the athletes if they chose to do so.

The transition area is brand new for 2012 and will be indoor at the Pavilhão Atlântico.
This new Venue allows for an increase in the number of slots up to 1000 athletes and great racing and safety conditions for the athletes.

The Bike course is in a 100% closed to traffic freeway at a very fast pace and it is done in 4 laps of 22,5 Km. The road lanes are very wide allowing for a drafting free event.

The race finishes with a running course also in 4 laps and in the heart of the race Venue.

This unique in lap race course makes it for a very spectator friendly Venue and a chance for friends and family members to see their loved ones competing and going by them, an unprecedented in these races 10 TIMES!!
